Phobias are caused by an automatic thought association, which leads the subconscious part of the mind to believe that you are in danger. Because the subconscious is not logical but understands and uses emotions, there is often no conscious clue as to what the phobia is about.
Hypnotherapy can help you to find out what the phobia is about and re programme the subconscious to accept that the feared object or situation is nothing more than something you don’t particularly like. In some cases, such as flying fears and phobias, people often find they quite like flying once the fear is take away because they are focusing on the good things about the flight rather than the fears that are in their mind.
